• Animation: Brings a picture to life.
  An Animated Gif contains 2 or more frames that are played back in sequence by an Internet Browser or other programs capable of displaying animated GIF’s.
  

	EMAILED.GIF: 15,337 bytes, 45 by 52 55 frames; 7 second pause. Letter is signed by a hand that vanishes. Letter folds and flies into an envelope, envelops spins to reveal stamp and address. Reduction to a 2 bit color image would save a few K. (http://members.aol.com/royalef1/gifstogo.htm)
	STARROLL.GIF: 8,086 bytes, 59 by 59 25 frames of animation. Blue star spins 360 degrees. No pauses in this one. Color rediction to 2 bit could save some. (http://members.aol.com/royalef1/gifstogo.htm)
	WAVPLAY.GIF: 12,536 bytes, 84 by 78 A dozen frames. Colorful notes float out of pumping speaker. Ideal for a WAV/AU download button. (http://members.aol.com/royalef1/gifstogo.htm)

• You do not have to create animated gifs if you do not want to. There are a lot of web sites that already have animated gifs created for you to use.
  
  
• You save an animated gif the same way you save a regular image. Right click on the image and choose Save Picture As. Make sure you are in the right destination; enter a name for the image and click on save.

Animation Walkway Assignment:

1. Find web sites that allow you to copy animated gifs to use for free.



2. Make a web page that list and links to the web sites with a sample of an animated gif from each web site. (Save as: animation.html) . Do not use any of the web sites listed on Mrs. Horwitz's Web Site, and don't forget to include the title of the web page.

You need to find a minimum of 4 web sites.

Include the animation that you created.

Make sure you include the definition of animation and buttons for navigation (animation online).

• Table
• Web Sites should open in a new browser.
• Buttons for Navigation

Print out your animated web page.

• See the rubric for grading criteria
• Keep an eye on page layout
• Make sure you use a majority of the tags you have been introduced to.
