If you have not already done so please activate your email account.

In your web browser go to http://gmail.sysmatrix.net You will see this page:

Log in with your username (without typing the "@sysmatrix.net) and current password. Agree to the terms and activate the new account.


Setting up Outlook XP/Outlook 2002/Outlook 2003

  1. Double click "Microsoft Outlook"

  2. If a wizard starts, skip to step 4.

  3. Click "Tools" and "E-Mail Accounts" from the menu

  4. Make sure "Add a new e-mail account" is selected

  5. Click "Next"

  6. Select "POP3"

  7. Click "Next"

  8. Enter your name. This can be whatever you want it to be

  9. Enter your Sysmatrix e-mail address (user@sysmatrix.net)

  10. Enter the "Incoming Mail server (POP3)": pop.gmail.com

  11. Enter the "Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP)": smtp.gmail.com

  12. Enter your SysMatrix email address in the "User Name:" box (it will have the first part of your email address, you need to add the "@sysmatrix.net")

  13. Enter your SysMatrix Password

  14. Click "More Settings"

  15. Click the "Outgoing Mail Server" tab

  16. Select "My outgoing mail server (SMTP) requires authentication"

  17. Click the "Advanced" tab

  18. Put checkmarks in BOTH boxes that say "This server requires a secure connection"

  19. Make sure the POP3 port is set to 995

  20. Change the SMTP port to 587

  21. Click OK

  22. Click "Next"

  23. Click "Finish"

To remove your old account after setting up the new one:
  1. Click "Tools" and "E-Mail Accounts" from the menu

  2. Make sure "View or change existing email accounts" is selected

  3. Click "Next"

  4. Select your old account

  5. Click the Remove button

  6. Click "Yes"

  7. Click "Finish"
